Private Poolside VIP Cabanas at The WET SPOT

Guests of the Mari Jean Hotel have never needed a Day Pass to enjoy pool access throughtout their stay, and as of March 2024, Day Passes are no longer required for Day Guest access to The WET SPOT and use of the pool. For hotel Guests and Guests reserving VIP Cabanas, swimming is permitted until 9:00 PM.

• Reservations may be changed or cancelled up until seven (7) days prior to your reserved date. Please use the Chat with us button on your confirmation email to send your request.
• Within seven (7) days, to check to see if a change to your reservation is possible, please speak to the bar manager on duty at COCKtail or The WET SPOT. 
• Cancellations within seven (7) days of your reservation date will result in the forfeiture of your prepayment.

Living in the tropics, rain is part of our DNA in Southwest Florida. Fortunately, St. Petersburg is called the Sunshine City for a valid reason: We enjoy an average of 360+ days of sunshine every year. We even hold a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive days of sunshine! When it does rain, barring severe weather which may impact the entire State of Florida, your VIP Cabana can serve as a great shelter until the rain passes. If rain is forecasted for our area the entire day of your reservation, please speak with the bar manager on duty for further assistance.

Tan lines demonstrate just how great your tan truly is! The pool and our VIP Cabanas, like all public areas on-property, require our Guests to wear at least a swimsuit which can be as small as you want, but all business up front must be covered. 

Smoking and vaping are limited to the north end of The WET SPOT pool complex, clearly marked by signage on the wall and located at the opposite end of the pool deck from our poolside VIP Cabanas. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in our poolside VIP Cabanas.

Drinking is always optional here, whether water or something stronger. Rest assured knowing your reservation fee is credited in full to your bar tab and applies to anything you and your Guests drink or food you order with your Cabana Boy (excluding Special Events when unique terms & conditions apply).

With a Cabana Boy to serve you and your Guests why waste your time making your own drinks? Besides, alcohol not purchased from The WET SPOT or COCKtail is not permitted to be brought onto the pool deck, into your pool deck, or into COCKtail. Doing so jeopardizes our liquor license and this is one of the primary reasons Guests visit us! 

Our kitchen Staff members are well practiced in catering private affairs our Guests have hosted in their VIP Cabanas. For this reason, catered and outside food deliveries are not permitted. If you have specific questions or concerns, please speak with the bar manager on duty or use the Chat with us button in your confirmation email to contact us.

With valid photo ID and the card used to confirm your VIP Cabana reservation, please check-in with a Bartender at The WET SPOT or COCKtail (for weekday reservations) 15 minutes prior to your reservation time. All members of your party do not need to be present but will need to have valid photo ID available to show your Cabana Boy servicing your VIP Cabana. 

Unfortunately, our hotel's parking lot, all 17 spaces of it, is not large enough to accommodate non-registered Guests visiting for the day. Parking is available nearby at no cost along Central Avenue (2-hour time limit applies Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM), along 1st Avenues North and South and cross streets such as 24th Street to the west of the hotel. Any vehicles parking in the hotel lot without a valid Guest Hotel Parking Permit visibly displayed on the vehicle's dashboard are subject to towing without notice by Skyway Towing & Recovery, 727-894-1199. The Mari Jean Hotel and all of its venues assume no responsibility for the towing, towing costs, or damage of vehicles towed from the lot. 

Reservations fees are non-refundable. Any unused portion of a reservation fee will not be credited or reimbursed. 

During regular operating hours, for assistance, please speak with the bar manager on duty at The WET SPOT or COCKtail (for weekday reservations) and have the date/time of your reservation available.
